UNAC-Quinte Contributions

The United Nations Association, Quinte Branch supports the Sustainable Development Goals of
the United Nations in our Community through education and relevant events. Its history of major
contributions to the Belleville and Quinte region include initiating the joining of City of Belleville
with UNESCO’s Canadian Coalition of Municipalities Against Racism and Discrimination as its 59th member. Currently, UNAC-QUINTE remains a vital and engaged member of the City’s
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

The Branch’s annual Leadership Summit on Inclusivity where decision makers from all sectors
of our community come together to share strategic insights for moving the inclusive agenda forward
in constructive ways, is an event eagerly anticipated each year. In addition, UNAC-QUINTE has
worked with the Algonquin and Lakeshore District Roman Catholic School Board, Albert College,
Belleville Public Library, Belleville Business and Professional Women’s Club, Hastings Prince
Edward District School Board, Loyalist College (Bio-Sciences Department), Quinte Conservation,
Quinte Local Immigration Partnership, Rotary Club of Belleville, and The United Church of Canada,
East Central Ontario Regional Council.
